It wasn't easy. There are some tabs that hold it in. I pushed it out a little and got ahold of it with some needle nose pliers while reaching in to try to release the tabs...pulled it out.

 

What brand raptor lights did you end up going with? I want to install some but wasn't sure what to get. -Thanks!

Came with and add a fuse and was a pretty easy install

As with any, depending on where you mount then you might need to do some trimming. I can confidently say only a box cutter is needed to modify your truck. Dremel would be great if you have one

Wow! You got serious. I just picked up some fluid film and am waiting for a good day. Anything you have to avoid with that stuff besides the exhaust? How careful do you have to be?

 

Picked up some PVC pipe and fittings to make a fishing pole quiver for a fishing trip in a couple weeks. 4 guys and our fishing stuff are NOT gonna fit in the cab.

 

After the fishing trip, you can use it for a RPG launcher.

Put on some OEM LED fog lights, part number PT413-42191. Happy with the results.

 

Installed the PAKRAX tailgate panel -thanks To Erick over at @state48overland.

 

I need some advice. I’ve considered all possibilities said about a lift for my 2017 Taco DCLB. I just want to understand better and make sure that I don’t do something wrong and screw up my Tacoma. I’m currently thinking about putting 5100’s all around and an add a leaf from Supreme Suspensions. I want to achieve a 2” lift all around. Should I be changing my front springs too or are the stock ones fine? Do I need a diff drop kit? Is there anything I’m missing? Or should I just wait a bit longer and just order the Old Man Emu kit for $1400? I’m on a small budget until I can afford a better, high quality suspension.
All feedback is greatly appreciated.

make sure you cover the windshield. It’ll get on there, even if you think it won’t, and it’s a bitch to get off of glass.

I avoided the exhaust as much I could, and didn’t get anywhere near the intake. Still had a little smokin goin on, so I took it out on the highway for about an hour, and that problem got solved.

“Careful Application” and “Rust Prevention” are opposite terms. Apply the stuff generously, but evenly. Get inside the nooks and crannies everywhere you can. I used the little 24” 360° nozzle hose ALOT. Inside the rocker panels (removed the body plugs), forward frame rails, fender wells, door drains...anywhere I could find an open hole, I’d squirt some in there (get your mind out of the gutter ). Drop the spare tire, and coat the mounting frame a chain. Clean the rim on the spare, and put some protectant on a rag and wipe down the spare rim on both sides.

my biggest gripe...the stuff stinks. Here it is, 3 days later, and it still stinks. I’ll probably use woolwax next year.

Any of you guys have any input on which gril and stove that doesn’t break the bank. I was thinking of this Coleman. And adding in the extension tube to run bigger tank instead of the little bottles.

 

does Toyota make a full skid plate for the underside of the truck. I wanna keep my TRD skid plate and just add to it. Just paint the letters white and the plate black to match the truck.
