Roof Rack vs.

Looking at a roof rack for my access cab. Truck shop suggested prinsu or Front Runner.

what are your thoughts ??? Please help!

What do you want to use the rack for? How much do you want to spend on it?
Do you care about wind noise?
Do you have a sunroof?
Are you leasing your truck?

for me, it was a Prinsu cabrak to support my RTT, mount my antennas and I own the truck. Don’t care about the increased wind noise, and don’t have a sunroof. I really like my Prinsu rack.

I would highly suggest the UpTop Overland rack.

 

The trouble I have is not all rack offer the access cab,

I own my truck and I want strong enough to put stuff up there, like a tent if I go that route.

The one Doozy Linked you is the access cab version, they got you figured out!

 

I've thrown A LOT of 12' lumber up top of it and it holds very nicely.

 

I build these....

It's plenty strong and able to hold a tent, im always available for a call if you have questions too

 

Definitely go with something like a Prinsu then. I have a ARE MX (high top) shell, so my heavy Smittybilt RTT goes on the cab and the Prinsu supports it really well. There is some wind noise and yeah, maybe 1/2 mpg less for it, but it is worth it!

A bit more invasive than most, but pretty freaking slick if you don't want something up there full time and want to be able to load it down when there is.

Hey if you're a first responder or LE/MIL rhino racks has a 40% off all. That being said I've seen the rhino racks and front runner in person. They work great but the slim front of the prinsu looks better in my opinion. Also uptop looks very well made and sleek as well
