We have some people with truly nasty hygiene. They’re really smart people who simply aren’t interested in the finer points of life outside computers.

I learned a long time ago that computer folks who can be married, are. The others...oof.

Culprit not allowed back in the building until a pest control company provides written certification that his home and car and critter-free.

There's now a pool going on when that might be.

    I've got $1 on January 19-25 2020.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
Does that mean they have identified said culprit? And if so, how?

I think he (confirmed "he" only because only men sit in that area) confessed once facilities identified the "ground zero" cubicle. That entire side of the building is now closed off for 2 weeks, cubicles tented, fridges emptied, coffee pots removed - everything. They're really going at it this time.

They're even bringing in the "good stuff" that causes cancer.

Wait - we're killing bedbugs by giving them cancer? That's just plain mean.

I know who it is now because I saw facilities boxing up all the binders from his cube. It is who I thought, and yeah, the personal hygiene thing was a dead giveaway.

The crawlies got into his books, which was how a couple survived the first treatment. They're taking the cubicle walls apart right now to spray into them. I commented when I walked by "did you disconnect power first? I'd hate to think what would happen if you sprayed onto live wiring."

Based on the glares...those walls are still live. C'mon guys, OSHA!

there was a guy in basic training who had "crabs" and I see him scratching his crotch all the time, then when we had to sit in the dayroom or whatever it was waiting for the next round of basic. the guy is scratching and picking them off!! and we are all moving away from the guy...finally the TI had to ask what was wrong and why no one was sitting next to him. He got taken out and de-loused I believe....rest of the day when we had to sit in there we sat on our books.

I also worked with some nasty people...some wouldnt flush the toilet...some didnt flush the toilet and left poop in there AND there was no toilet paper!! WTH!! Then there was our secure location, they didnt have people that cleaned the bathrooms with high enough clearance so they allowed our guys with clearances to clean toilet and get paid. Some of the stories they told us were unbelievable...there was maybe 8 women in the secure location building. And the guys that cleaned the womens bathroom said it was far worse than any of the guys toilets. They gave me a hard time about my morning briefing which included..."use toilet paper, flush, wash your hands!!!".

The one on Fairchild in 1998? That was a member of my squadron - single parent from job control.

Sad ass story, basically ended with "and that's why you don't get married to the first person you fuck in tech school."

...^^^... I caught the "crabs" once ...

Years ago ... I just started traveling on business and was at a Holiday Inn in Florida close to the beach.

I was there for a few days and had to change rooms and go to the doctor (wash my body with special shampoo and use a special cream) and have ALL of my stuff (luggage and clothes) deloused for 2 days.

The Holiday Inn paid for everything and gave me a free room ... but the hassle and chemical small was bad. Never forget that mess.

When I look back ... I guess it could have been crabs or bedbugs since I got them from the bedspread I think.

I do remember seeing them under a small microscope ... IIRC, they looked like a dark spider with 6 claw legs ... creepy looking things.
