New England B.S. Thread

I hear that! Without Cajun dishes, seafood does seem less appealing haha

 

I imagine seafood in the middle of the country isn't that great. Even the east coast down south, it's not as good as New England.

I've yet to try some southern BBQ though. There's a good place not far from me though called BT's Smokehouse.

 

It's just different down south. If you start heading south and order lobster anything, you're likely headed towards disappointment. But if you go to Maryland and order the rock crabs as an example, you can't get those elsewhere done as well. You just have to order what that region is known for and prepares well. Just going to a place up here and ordering catfish and crawfish, it's just not going to be as good as somewhere down south.

 

I've tried lobster in Florida a couple times. Not as good as it is here. Crabs are still good. Grouper is good, which I haven't seen here at all. Alligator isn't bad either.

 

There's definitely a huge difference in warm water lobster and cold water lobster. Which is why places always put 'Maine Lobster' on their menus instead of just 'Lobster'.

BTs is about 20 mins from me.... Drive by all the time. Smells great.
And the place @tacobell007 turned me on to, is great, North Village Smokehouse.

We do seafood in Texas... Well, I don't...
But, its usually cajun influenced...

There's a few Cajun seafood places around here. Juicy Seafood in Worcester is pretty good.

Those things are awesome. If I didn't put a sled in the back of my truck every so often I would get one in a heartbeat.

 

Thanks. Yeah I only put a sled in my truck a couple of times so I figured I'd get more use out of this. I haven't been going snowmobiling as much lately and don't plan to go this year either.


That plus I got a good deal on the bedslide.
