Ok everyone, this is driving me crazy, and I’ve see hints of it in previous posts, but no definitive answer in any responses:

im waiting for a build of a 2020 OR Short Bed (I was going to start posting more once I had the truck in my possession). Among other options, I want leather and led headlights. He’s putting the Premium
Off Road package into his computer to order, but then the led headlight option goes away. On the Toyota builder,
I noticed the standalone Premium Audio with nav option includes leds and the mtm. Since the premium audio is part of the off road premium, so I automatically get the led headlights and multi terrain monitor? He has codes lg or lf, but thought maybe it is best to see if anyone has an actual off road premium that included the leds without an extra up charge and can put up a sticker or even better build sheet.

The OR Prem comes in about four options. I know three of them are Prem + tech + led but has no mtm, then.prem + adv tech + led which has the mtm and the last is Prem + adv tech + led + tonneau cover. I believe there is one or two other options with no adv tech

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing, but he can’t find the advanced tech anywhere as he’s doing the order. I’m thinking of speccing the led separate (in addition to the premium and tech), and seeing what I get. The sticker isn’t going to list the packages anyway, it will list each option, so I’m not concerned about getting hit for the leds twice. From what others have said, I’m not going to make the mtm a deal breaker, but the headlights need to be led.

I made the adv tech with mtm a deal breaker. I had several dealers find a prem + tech + led without adv tech with the voodoo blue double cab long bed but I told them no I wanted the adv tech and I can wait for a order to be made.

I recently sold my 16' SR5 SBDC through a close friend who owns a high end used car broker/dealership. I got $25K for the truck (paid $30,500 almost 4 years ago). He then got me a 20' TRD OR (white) from a Toyo dealer he works with. I got one exactly with what I wanted, no packages, no BS paint protection, etc. The sticker was $35,329 and I paid $35,009 OTD (included sales tax, doc fees, etc.). All-in-all I figured I saved about $1K which isn't great but I got the color I wanted (white) and I got it quick. I immediately debadged it, added the Tacoma letters from BDT Trims, Raptor S/S rails, Toyota tailpipe extension, Tacoma door sill guards, Tacoma mud guards, and Tacoma bed mat. This added about $550 to the truck. I was going to order Weather Tech mats but the all-weather floor mats that came with the truck aren't that bad (although a rip at $329 sticker). The truck had 4 miles on the "clock" when I picked it up and still had the plastic wraps everywhere. I told the dealer I would detail it myself. I had to drive 200 miles to pick it up so I guess it got a good break-in on the way back. Drove it just like I would normally (I-state and all). It was built on 09/19 and I got it on 10/16. It only set on the dealer's lot for 1 day. So far, so good. I had many TSB's done on the 16' (transmission fluid, differential tightened, spacers in springs, crank position sensor, rear door window seal, and several transmission and radio flashes). But for the last 20K miles no issues. I learned about all the TSB's from Tacoma World (thanks to all) and a local dealer performed or checked them all with no hassle or charge. I know this is a lengthy post and some reading it will think, "who gives a s**t". But I don't often post but read a lot of posts from other members.

This is the package I have on my 2020 with leather seats and LEDs. It Comes with everything I need. I didn’t need the camera stuff. It’s the cheapest of the premium packages.

I'm going today to check out a white PRO (already have a deposit on it) and my backup would be to order a TRD Off-road the way I want it without all the extra expensive crap the dealer puts on it. I'm hoping the Costco program will save me some money. Two dealerships in the next two days. Wish me luck.....

Does anyone know if there is a package that comes with the front camera in the grill like the PRO?

    Thanks

If you want the front facing camera you'll need to get the Advanced Technology package. It has the PVM/MTM/360* camera system.

I think you want the Advanced Tech Package.

Edit: @deusxanime beat me to it.

My new truck looks exactly like the pic in Post #5062 except mine is not a 4 x 4. Also, I didn't get the optional packages like RedsWhiteTaco in Post #5063. I would have like the upgraded audio system but to be honest, the stock radio really sounds good, IMO. I can get leather seats (premium leather) from a trim shop for around $850 but I l like the two-tone cloth. My wife has all the "bells and whistles" on her Lexus RX 350 and she is constantly turning this on and that off by mistake. She said I should have gotten the Technology Package with the side mirror warning system. I will have to rely on the "manual" system-i.e.-the guy coming up besides me honks his horn and gives me the finger if I drift into his lane. I'm certainly not knocking the upgrade packages as I'm sure they are very functional and nice to have. One thing I don't like on the new truck verses the 16' I sold is the push button start. I use to hide the keys in the gas cap area (we live in a small town) but can't do that anymore. One day my wife got out of her car to go shopping (keys in her purse) and I drove a couple of miles away to a Harley dealer. When I turned her car off I quickly realized I was f***ed! She can have that Lexus...I'm not a fan!

Well, not to condone hiding your key in your gas cap area, buttttttt you could use the little slide out valet key to open the driver door, and hide that in the gas cap area while you keep the fob itself stored inside the truck in the center console/glovebox/etc. However, you'll need a little faraday pouch to do this as the truck won't let you lock the doors if it detects a key inside. I ordered this from Amazon, and use it so I can leave the fob inside the truck, while I take the small key with me while I'm out on the water surfing.

Thanks for your suggestion! Great idea and I will order the "pouch" immediately. I just assumed if the fob was in the truck, even in the console or glove box, the truck wouldn't lock. I keep the vanity key in a magnetic box under the truck in case I was locked out so I could at least get into it.

I knew someone on TW would have a solution!

Was there a lower level premium off road available, or do you have a photo of the sticker? I’m not dead set on the leds and the mtm, so it is a tough call.

that’s the strange part, this is supposedly something it can’t even order. It seems like the combinations won’t work (like trying to buy a pro with leds- it already comes in the package, so they aren’t showing available. I just can’t confirm what comes in the package because nowhere lists the exact components of each beyond their major selling points. Does the premium audio in the off road premium include the leds like it does if you were to buy the premium audio separately?
