    For us non-electricians can someone explain how to wire? I am cutting the plug off of one of the recommended desk/grommet receptacles and will have three bare wires to connect to...what, exactly?

    You can do it with no cutting.
    Unplug the vehicle harness.
    Insert the plug and play harness.
    Connect the two JST connector
    Take the remaining white connector and plug it into the back of the Toyota AC outlet

    I gotcha. But then you don't have any USB connections. I guess the other way is to cut off the smaller white plug and use those three wires (blue, white and black) to connect to the wires coming from a 3 prong outlet, right?

    Right. Now I'm thinking I don't even need to smaller harness--just cut the small black plug off the blue and white wires and solder them to the cord from the plug.

    Just to clarify before I start tearing up my center console, everything I got from you in package 1 will let me do the 120 AC plug outlet and the 2 usb port just like your setup on page 1 right @KTJO 4x4 ?

    Not currently, but I can find it when I get home if you still need it. If that's the part number from page one, that's what I ordered. Whatever picture is showing may be a little misleading. The outlet is meant to install in place of the 12v outlet. So that part is circular. The front portion (where the USB would plug into) is actually a square. Does that make sense? I can take a picture of it when I get home if you need a visual.

    Yah that makes sense. Picture on the front is round so misleading if it’s square. the round and square share the same part number I have seen.
