Would you recommend running a decatted tune even though i have catted dump tubes and no secondary cats with an exhaust from DirtyDeeds? Is the higher flow velocity screwing with how much time exhaust gas is spending in the catalytic converter thus throwing codes for efficiency? Could it also be that due to more efficient exhaust flow the exhaust temperature is lower thus reducing catalytic converter efficiency? I have noticed that after installing the DirtyDeeds exhaust it takes forever for my engine to warmup and fuel economy is crap, like 15mpg per tank.

iPhone recordings don't really capture exhaust sound levels that good but I'll make a recording for you at start up tomorrow.

on the original catless dump tube 2.0 beta file 93oct. running stock front cats, no rear cats and 3" all the way back on a media-less open flow system. runs absolutely fantastic. i have dump tubes but they aren't installed.

Sounds exactly like what i got. Filled up today and calculated my mpg, got 13.6 so Im gonna give the catless 2.0 tune a try and see what that does. Literally all I did was change the exhaust and fuel economy disappeared, tried both a 1.05 and a 2.0 beta tunes with same results so its not the those tunes, maybe the catless one does better.

i am getting better mpg with the catless beta than with anything else i've run. this file is so nice that i doubt i'll flash anything again until the full otto dump tube files show up. that may be a big "if", not sure.

Does your truck remain at the higher rpm on cold idle longer? its purpose is to heat the cats.
datalogs with our new logger ( few days) should help us see this

What happens if you run the catted down pipes without the OVtune? asking for a friend...

But power gain throughout the RPM range? I plan to purchase the Tune just rather start with the downpipes.

just f'ing with you. i'd be at a total loss why you'd spend $600 or whatever for a bunch of weirdness instead of $700 for the tune that makes it all right. y'know.

I think I have my exhaust where I like it now. I installed a vibrant ultra quiet in it today to deal with the reintroduced drone the dump tubes gave me.
System in it's final configuration and flow sequence. OVTune catless dump tubes,URD cat delete Y pipe,2 1/2" vibrant ultra quiet resonator,18"x 2 1/2" spiral core glass pack as a resonator,Flowmaster 50 dual outlet exiting on rear corners. I really like the sound of it now,you can hardly hear it at an idle with the windows up but it comes to life with a nice growl and then a nice exotic sounding high rpm when you wind it out. Running the 2.0 beta 04B13 91 catless file and no CEL after several days/miles and start cycles
I don't think any video will do it justice,I tried doing one in the garage with the door open at idle and some revs and it sounds like shit on video. I think adding the resonator might have even given me a bit better bottom end and better throttle response, butt dyno is happy so I guess that is all that matters.

okay that sounds (pun) like a winner! Now climb under it and give us some pics to sweat over! Please! Interested in the placement of the vibrant as I have TRD Pro catback exhaust and want to note placement relationships. TIA.

??? where at in MT ? independent or dealer ?

I installed most of it myself,I had a local shop weld in the resonators. The Vibrants don't take kindly to being sized up and the inlet split, that is the reason for all the build up on the weld. It is about 3 inches downstream from where the two pipes from the engine meet at the Y
