    Im about to go to 5.29s as well.. truck is alright with the 4.88s but i want moar gear in case i decide i "need" 35s :rofl:

    Thanks, will do a little more digging

    Gears will sort that out. You still running stock gears? my truck was an absolute turd when i had my camper 4.10s and 33s. Couldnt even use fourth gear. 4.88s really brought back drivability but for added weight and big tires, id go 5.29. I just took a bunch of weight off my truck for this reason. Very easy to keep adding this and that, but it really adds up on the 4cyl

    See, even though they say to go 4.56 for manuals and 4.88 for autos, I'm going to just go 4.88 on mine. Who knows, maybe down the road 37s will be no big deal.

    Always better to be overgeared imo! Its too darn expensive to regear to not get enough for your money

    Definitely. Getting geared higher helps even a little and can make up for being extra loaded with camping gear.

    Just started browsing through this build thread, nice truck @BassAckwards! I got props for you 2wd guys. @Brian422 never ceases to impress with his each time we go out! Sure he needs a tug here and there, but not being scared of the skinny pedal helps too!

    I'd go 5.29 with the auto. Im about to regear mine to 5.29s and i have a 5spd. I am thinking about 35s though
