But it’s literally the same exact thing as the dual usb charger you can buy for $5 and just plug in and take out and use something else there. I was just curious if there’s any benefit to it

These are run while parked, correct? Get some clamps like these (not the whole rig) and wire them up to your devices instead of the lighter type plug. Direct connect to battery.

Has anyone found one of these that has at least one USB type-c port. Preferably one that supports USB-PD?

I mainly wanted the volt meter and also got 2 3.0 usb chargers as a bonus.

    Yep, quoting myself.....

FOUND ONE! USB-C/PD with a standard USB supporting QC 3.0
    https://www.amazon.com/Waterproof-Cigarette-Delivery-Voltmeter-Motorcycle/dp/B07JPJTKCC

These fit in the stock location without cutting/drilling out the hole right?

I used my dremel to make the hole just a tad bigger. The hardest part was getting the old one out, until I learned about the locks on both sides.

Fail, can’t use that while you are driving.

Besides, are you really going all USB, Bill? I don’t believe it, you driving a mall cruiser now? No way!

I had to shave a little off. I just took a razor blade and scraped little by little.
Removing it was a bitch. Sure there's tabs in there, I tried prying them with flat heads and picks. I ended up smashing the inner tube, crunching it and pulling it out.

I think there's a pic of it on my IG installed. www.instagram.com/cementgray

Can't imagine how you'd use a tire or boat pump (what he asked about) while driving.

All I'm suggesting is to cut off the clamps, put them on the pump wires, and run those pumps right off the battery when needed. Freeing up the socket position if he wants to use it for something else.

You don’t fill up your unicorn floaty while you are driving to the lake? :)

I was just commenting that losing that 12V plug on the dashboard can be a big loss for driving around accessories. My HT’s and computer need 12v outlets, as do my camera and drone battery chargers...

...and the rainbow pony floaty too.

I agree I'm not giving mine up. Was just offering options to remove his 'barrier' for not giving his up.

Things like pumps I prefer to run directly rather than through a lighter plug anyway.

Sounds like you need to set up some extra outlets in the rear of the cab to support your toys.

They all sit next to me up front. My wife laughs because I bring a four way splitter connected with clamps to her battery for them in her Rav4, and with her sunroof on it, it has become Droney McDroneface’s official launch vehicle when we are in the desert and she is driving.
