Pretty car. Hate to say it but that Tacoma will be around long after the Audi falls apart. Enjoy it until then though!

 

shit i’ve never owned anything longer than 3 years. ain’t my problem and 20 years from now i’ll still find the tacoma boring as shit to drive, even if the audis headlights don’t work, the turn signals shut the car off and the gas tank door causes the fuel pump to go bad.

 

Nice looking MKI. I’ve got more track and garage time in those then off road time in all my 4X4s put together.

 

thanks, just grabbed it 3 weeks ago. Gonna build a high compression 16V on dual delorto's or webers.

 

I’ve run at least a dozen different combinations in that chassis. My favorite was a 16v head on an ABA block with a low psi turbo. Those long 16v intake runners provide a surprising amount of torque.

 

just finished installing set of Fox 2.5 RR DSC ..now my front and rear match. rides great. cant wait to play with the dials.. headed to Pismo this weekend

That’s awesome. I wish I could afford new cars every three years. I guess I made that choice when I decided to raise kids and plan for retirement.

 

Yeah, we tend to keep them for at least 12 years. Ex: My wife traded her old 2001 Camry for a new 2018 Camry last year. Its a loaded XLE V6, and she paid cash for it. My Daddy once told me, "If you can afford to make payments, then you can afford to save money to pay cash."

Everyones paths are different. Wife and I are in our 40's no kids. income/savings arent an issue so I go through cars alot, or more than most.

 

Got an email saying that after 8 weeks the repairs are done and I can pick it up!
