Which tires would you choose??

Alright fellas, after some help it looks like I have come to a conclusion on my wheels. I am going with the Pro Comp 7033-Series:



My questions is, what rubber to a wrap them in??? I am trying to decide between the following 2 tires...

295/70R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers:


OR

285/70R17 BFG KM2 Mud Terrains



ANY advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if anyone has experience with either tire, please share.

I love my trail grapplers, 10k on them and they still look brand new. Extremely quiet for a mud terrain, km2s are badass tho so u can go wrong with either one u pick. Mine have done well in all types of terrains even in mud and sand!

 

km2's. the nittos are awesome, but are going to require a good bit of trimming.

 

try out the nittos it seems most people run bfg get some diversity goin theyre pretty ba lookin too especially with those rims

 

The nitto's are only about .5 of an inch larger

 

Neither, Go with the Goodyear Kevlar's. That's what I have. a little expensive, but great tire for offroading and supposedly will give you about 50K miles if routinely balanced.

I dunno man, you already have to do a pinch weld hammer and body mount chop to run BFGs at 285/70R17.

I wonder if the Terra Grappler at 295 (a 33.5" tire!) isn't gonna rip your fenders off if you use it in anger.

I notice TacoTron, above, who recommends them also has bushwhacker fenders in his pic.

 

Maybe I should have explained that my truck is mainly street-use, wih little off-road. And when I do go off road it will be fairly mild... so I doubt I would flex enough to knock off my fenders.

 

have found these to be the best AT tire, snow rated, smooth, etc.
you have to at least go and view a set before buying anything

 

i have the XD monsters. 18x9 on a 285x60x18. it is perfect. no lift, stock.

 

Have you checked out Tirerack.com? They have a great performance breakdown of tires for whatever catagory of riding you do. They pretty much have all the info you could ever want of any tire.

If you searched around the wheels and tires section you'd find pros/cons of all sorts of tires.

yee Everyone seeems to have BFG's

I like the Nitro's purely from look and uniqueness standpoint

I don't know preformance wise how they compete tho, i'd immage BFG's preforme greeat seeing as how so many people have them, but Nitro's are sickk
