Just dropping in to say hello. Long time lurker and owner of 3 Tacomas. All 2nd gens.

The truck is a 2010 4x4 2.7L 5spd regular cab. It has a skyjacker or some other el cheapo lift on it with bags in the back. All of that will change eventually. I bought the truck in 2017 from a little fly by night dealership in Rainbow City Alabama(they put the lift on it). I'm the second owner. I got it at 60k miles and have put about 30k on it since. Most of the 30k has been 4 trips from Alabama to California. 2 of which were on 285/75 r16 General Grabbers(13mpg) and the other 2 on BFG AT(18mpg). I just got the cap and as soon as I get it color matched I'll throw it on the truck. My first step with my little Taco is to re-gear to a 4.88(bumpers and maybe 35s), then shit can the lift for billies and OME. Thanks for the add and I look forward to posting more adventures with the little truck that could lol.

    Welcome to TW!

I admire and respect the fact that you drove across the country multiple times in a regular cab pick up.

I had a regular cab Ranger, and taking it on overnight trips was a logistical mess. I would have to Tetris everything into the passenger side floor and seat.

If you’re really good, you can make a tunnel through all the stuff so you can still see the passenger side mirror.

Yea with new plugs, oil change, and basic used car tune up 13 mpgs with the Grabbers... plus constantly going from 5th to 4th back to 5th. Cruise was absolutely useless on that trip.

Yes. My passenger seat was stacked and what didn't fit there was in the bed strapped to a pallet under a tarp. this trip I have the little woman with me so I sprung for a cap to keep her 60 days worth of wardrobe for a 10 day vacation dry. LOL
