Yeah, in the blizzard of '93, I had to put about 400lbs of sand in the back of my '92, so I could get traction. Weight distribution does make a LOT of difference on what kind of traction you can get!

 

After I get a lift I'll be adding steel to mine as well. What did you put on yours?

I build all the stuff for my truck. I do a bit of welding every now and again.

 

I usually chop firewood after the summer in Texas as it got colder and I would stack a row or two in my last pickup.

 

Toyota pickup or 1st gen 4Runner with the 22RE all day. Gear driven transfer case from the factory and more options for duel cases. Bullet proof low HP / High torque is the winner!

 

That works too. If we have any inkling of a chance of snow here, I always park my truck at the top of the hill and have a couple hundred pounds of wood or sandbags in the rear of the bed.

I know you pay for the design, I get it. But a 4x8 sheet of 3/16” steel costs $120. Hard to pay 10x that for a bumper that I could potentially build.

 

Where are you getting a sheet of 3/16" for $120?

yeah you guys send me your files and I'll convert it to the machine. Just no ownership of files sent to me
kidding IDC if you guys send me files and then have me delete them. I do need more practice though in the programs and any cutting helps pay for it.

@BamaTaco56 are you familiar with the designing since I think you said you sketch graphs for work on the computer? If so when I get everything set up I wouldn't mind you coming over and tinkering.
