My brother in law is a soldier I mess with him whenever I see him. He’s a recruiter now.

It's a group of Military Vets that started doing these tv show type skits of life in the military. And because they are Vets, its extremely accurate. Funny as hell. Its grown to a massive level. Plenty of veteran actors and funding. They've made lots of videos and now have their own online channel

Kind of like Terminal Lance, but video format and much funnier

One Question, since I don't know that many Jarheads... When I was in the Navy in the 70's on a 35 year old WW2 Vintage Destroyer, we had 5 ways of doing things: The Right Way, The Wrong Way, The Navy Way, The Captain's Way, and The Way WE Did it... does any of that sound familiar? Just askin...

The old El Toro Air Base when the drag strip was around the corner and Orange County wasn't priced thru the roof and crime ridden.

Why is it Marines insist they are a branch of the US military? They are part of the Department of the Navy. In other words they are sailors.

Note: My two brats are former Marines. Reminding them they are the Navy’s step children keeps them in line.

Gotta say I love the Marines. I'm in charge (volunteer) of a YMCA Adventure Princess group (dads and daughters (5y/o-12 y/o)) and we had a campout this last weekend (450 dads and daughters) at Del Mar Beach on Camp Pendleton. The Marines were there to help get the dads gear onto the beach to camp, set up one of the large camo netting tents, brought two tactical vehicles for the kids to see and climb in/on, hung out all weekend interacting with the girls, woke everyone up at 6:15AM on Sunday to lead PT and then helped move all the gear off the beach.

The interactions of the daughters and the Marines was awesome and an amazing experience for the girls. One of our community service events over the weekend was for the girls to write letters to the Marines as well.

Huge respect for the Marines that were there.
