Lovin my "07" TRD Sport, but sure miss the underdash lights I had in the Lincoln. Dealer wants big $$$ to install 2 little lights. Any ideas where and which wire I can tap to have lights come on and off when open door? It would be great if they faded also. Thanks.

just go to superbrightleds.com and find the lights you want. install them where you want. ground them. Run the power wire to the fuse box, that way they will come on and off with the ignition.

plasmaglow makes cool led strips that are cheap but work really well.

I would wire them independently from the ignition. so you can turn them on and off as you please.

It really wouldnt be that hard, just need to get a wiring diagram. May not be hard, but a royal pain in the ass:)

    Easy to do

Install the lights where you want them. ground them. Extend power wire to door switch. Tada lights on with door. All the plastic trim pieces just snap out.

This explanation is of course very simplified.

Its not terribly difficult, but if you dont feel comfortable doing it, take it to a friend or mechanic and they can probably do it in an hour or 2
