It's mainly hitting the pinch weld and right below that spot. I just snapped a pic and you can see where it also rubbed the paint off the cab mount plate though.

 

Your LCA must be adjusted back.... Im running 295’s and barely rubbed on the front bumper cover and inner fender while turned and flexed and I have at least an inch and half before I touch the cab mount.

 

I had an alignment appointment this morning, but the caster was already at 2.9 and the tech said he'd definitely have to move it more than 1 degree to make it not hit the cab mount. He said it would drive like crap and cornering would be difficult. I'm not an alignment expert by any means, but what he was saying made sense at the time. I was going to start with removing the wheel spacers after work today. I really didn't expect it to be this difficult for 285/70/17s...

 

Gonna be heading to Portland and back on Saturday from Seattle.

I would If i could, check pinion shaft end play and make sure the pinion gear shows contact in the middle of the ring gear

 

Will a paint pen or grease pencil work for that?

 

Depending upon the age of the vehicle there should be fairly obvious wear marks on the ring gear teeth already

 

Do I need to worry about bearings or anything? Alex bought one that howled on the interstate.

 

pull in and out on the pinion gear, they are conical bearings and it should have no movement. Also grab onto the pinion yoke and hold it in place while you rotate the ring gear, this will have movement but it should be very small.

So what's really wrong with it that it still hasn't sold 4months later? I find it very hard to believe that in 4 months there has been no one buy a plug and play Toyota elocker for $150... Something's fucky with it. At this point I'll just get a 1st Gen 4.10 elocker. Still trying to hold out for a 3rd gen t4r limited elocker with 4.30 gears.




Oh and he's still too lazy apparently to confirm the r&p ratio. Even though I already know the answer from the email exchange back in June.
