I mean I get that but some of us are foodies. I can remember all the places I had awesome food at and would love to go back to.

kinda like enjoying a beer or smoke

    food can just be awesome

I’m saying this unrelated to diet excuses.

it can for sure be controlled and it is one of those things that either you’re passionate about or not.

Yea everything stops during hunting season at my house. The wife and kids know I may be here one day and gone the next to the midwest for a couple weeks. It's the one thing I've always done and will never give up unless I medically/physically can't do it anymore. It's the time of year I sit alone in trees all day and kind of recharge and re center myself. The deer meat is a bonus but man I love being out there just all alone miles back away from everything with nothing but my bow and my thoughts.

Food is one of the most addictive things on earth in my opinion. Just look around at all the fat asses if you need confirmation. Obesity is running rampant and physical exertion is on the decline. Maybe 200 years from now everyone is fat as fuck with giant heads also for our bigger brains.

Try backpacking. I get that feeling when I backpack up to high elevation lakes/rivers and go trout fishing.

No no. I’m understanding it. I’m not disagreeing. I only challenged the “food doesn’t make you happy” thing.

The main part you're missing is the fulfillment part. Yes, maybe it gives you some happiness while eating, but it doesn't do anything for you the next day. Whereas your fitness and hot bod will be with you every day and fulfill more happiness for you than that delicious piece of cheesecake.

I can still taste clam chowder and steak and lobster

Chinese from this place about an hour away

this pecan pie I had last year was fucking amazing

I’m a fatass at heart And there’s some bomb ass food out there that I genuinely appreciate

Especially with the ordering groceries from the house now. Literally don’t have a reason to leave the couch.

Uh I’m a major foodie. And I love to cook. I love incredible tasting food and despite how cheap and restricted I can be I still take the time to cook good meals.

I am actually having a chef teach me how to do pork belly here soon.

But loving and appreciating food doesn’t have to mean uncontrolled eating with poor health consequences.

You can still be ripped and eat good food. Its a temporary trade off, not a permanent one.
And remind yourself of that. The sacrifice you are making to get lean is a temporary thing. You can ease up after you get there.

Like I know I’m going to have to do 8-12 strict keto to become fully fat adapted. Then I can lax up and enjoy something off every 2-3 weeks or holidays. But right now, no excuses.

    But its temporary.

Plus sometimes change is good. You find out after awhile away from things you don’t like them anymore. Like the pizza. If thats how it is going to make me feel, I can pass on it most of the time.

If I can work at a brewery multiple times a week staring at delicious fucking beer all night and not drink it despite my insides screaming at me to drink the delicious nectar of the gods, you can get sub 10%

For me its time and money this year. My whole pay check outside of $50 is going to my HSA right now. I’m also working as much as I can on weekends.
My bow needs a restring and I need a new stand. I should have access to new private land next year which should be great.
This year I wanna save the pennies.

I do love being out there though. I’m getting my current fix by hiking which has been fun.

Man I wanna get in to hunting. Seems like fun. And I'd love to be able to have fresh and clean meat all year. I need to find an archery range near me and see if they do rentals and shit and take lessons or something to get started. Or just go shoot one up. My dad's friend is a hunter and I'm sure he'd take me along. I'm sure tracking and bowhunting something is way more fun though and fulfilling

Its going to be so hard. Its hard resisting the urge to drink what I consider to be art in a glass.

But I gotta stray away if I want to be fat adapted. I can be lax later but not initially.

Once your body is used to keto it can jump in and out better, especially mixed with IF. But you’ve gotta fight that first hump.

I can do this. I can do this. I can give up beer for 8-12 weeks.

    You can do it.

    I feel your pain.

Bowhunting is a thousand time better than rifle hunting.

Its also a thousand times harder LOL
