Finally bagged a doe this year. These SC deer are small. Mine is the larger one. I told my buddy to quit using a scope cause he said he though it was alot bigger...... his deer on the left.



Pretty proud of my iron sight shot at 60 ish yards. I was close to coming off the stand too. These two were under my stand this morning. Didnt get to meet them tonight unfortunately.

 

Yea I'm in the lowcountry... deer in the freezer still... just means I get to shoot more lol

 

Well it could be worse like down here in Florida he weighed 125 lbs

That’s the way most of them around here are. 150 lb buck is a good deer.

 

surprisingly we get good bodied bucks here, just not a lot of rack usually. 175 was my wifes little basket 6/forky...

 

When I was growing up Burke County had some big boys. Not too sure if it is still true.

I had a couple lights on a tractor someone added and when I go put corn out after dark and check cameras I have trouble seeing, I don’t always pull in. I mounted them to the rear hitch with a switch on the dash. Worked good for locking the gate as well.

 

Virginia western mtns.wasnt being smart butt,no offense intended ,We don't post local cause we don't want to draw attention as we are pretty much surrounded by NF.even though it's hard to access pics can draw people in. What state are you in?

 

No worries man I'm in Upstate South Carolina, Blue Ridge foothills to be exact. Our bucks don't grow quite that big so a lot of folks around here travel up to the midwest to trophy hunt.

 

Where I live is in between the Blueridge and the Allegenys.I love the mountains.if you ever head north up this way shoot me a tex.we played ball some in Spartinburg SC and used to go to Darlington to the races back in the day

 

Old Moultree camera ,about the size of a box of Kleenex .. This was in the last 4-5 days

 

Gonna have to get a new trail cam. Bought one last year and went to put it out in a new spot yesterday and it wouldn’t turn in. Put new batteries in it - still no luck. I know there’s a good deer running around in there because my dad saw it, but couldn’t tell exactly how big. Public land deer, so don’t want to put an expensive cam out in case some ass hat wants to steal it.
