Maybe wrong spot but should I do the quick clamp / hose clamp mod to my 19 SR tailgate
even though I have a lock?

Is there any downside?

Crazy story but I recently purchased it just like this, here’s what I can tell so far before I make some changes:

- 2”-3” block lift kit (raised factory suspension so it’s a little soft going into freeway speed corners, definitely something I want to update)

- 285/75/17 Mud Grapplers on Raceline wheels

I’m loving the profile on her so far, and I don’t plan on doing too much off-roading, so I can’t complain right now at all. BUT, I’m a little worried how that suspension is going to act coming down the hill on snowy / rainy roads, so I’ve been keeping the speed mellow until I get a feel for it, and until I can decide on exactly how I want to upgrade (shocks, UCA, etc).

 

All stock except for some armor and some interior stuff.

 

thats with no lift?? do they rub?

 

Just lifted and put on new shoes today.

 

That’s with no lift, they rub a small amount on my mud flap when full lock and go over a bump, nothing that I’m concerned about, does no damage to tire or mud flap basically just rubs the dirt off

 

I get you. One of the reasons I traded my 2016 for my current 2018 was because of the sunroof. The head clearance was bad and I never even opened up the thing, completely useless. My 2018 does have the tech package though which I really wanted because of things like the blind spot monitors, backup sensors, etc.

Those are beautiful wheels. Never thought this color would look this good on white. Whats the exact color of your SCS wheels?

Not sure if matte gunmetal or matte gray? Now I'm debating whether to get these or stick to my original plan which was bronze.

Just debadged and replaced the chrome grill

 

I rarely see white Tacoma Trd Off Roads here in our area, heck in our city, and I found out today, our neighbor also has one. Btw I am in Canada.
