Ordered myself a bestop 2 today. Had a 10% off coupon. It’s listed as on back order, but hopefully it will be in stock soon.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I find the truck is more stable when cornering. Another advantage is the kit is really a DIY compared to adding a leaf in the rear. No alignment check is required after install.

This is good info. I use my truck as a service truck and was looking at the decked system. I currently have a softopper and just open the gate and leave the window closed. Having to open the window every time would not be convenient for me.

I washed it for the first time in three months, but in that span of time i maybe drove it 200 miles. I hope to be up to 1500 miles by December.

I've kind of thought about selling it, but those 2nd gens 14-15 are holding their value too well.

I like my 3rd gen. but I sure do miss my 2nd gen.Taco. Toyota started to cheapen things up more after that IMO.
Rear bumper and accessory rail just two examples of their effort to cut costs.
KEEP your 2nd Gen! IMO the 2nd Gen is the best of the best of the three and I've had all three. Just sayin'.

Sweet. I'm planning to get one too. LMK if you have to modify the gas tank skid to make this fit. Thanks

True that the rear of the Softopper is a bit of a hassle to fold up and down on the regular. I personally leave mine rolled up about 75% of the time.

Got ole girl ceramic coated yesterday. Full paint correction, UV coated the wheel wells and coated the truck and windshield for $500. He gave me a 5 year warranty which I cannot imagine having the truck that long but worst case I have that in my back pocket for a little extra cash when I sell it. Turned out real nice. That gray has a ton of flake in it when it is clean.

Your truck looks great. That's a steal at $500.

By chance, is this a hard copy FSM? If so where can I get my hands on one? When I picked up my taco, I asked the salesman if they sold FSMs and he looked at me like I was speaking another language.

My beautiful new bride asked me last night when my sliders are coming.
I replied with i haven't ordered them. I was waiting till after the wedding.
Her... You should get them now. They will look good on your truck.
    :ohsnap:
I had to close the blinds and lock the doors for a little while. Sliders still didn't get ordered.
