GLR. What are the little lights under the headlights and how do they function?

Those are LED daytime running lights. It was a dealer installed option, although I did the install myself. There is a button on the dash (under the radio) for them. When they are on with the headlights off, they are actually pretty bright. When you turn the headlights on. They automatically dim a little bit - some DOT regulatory thing, I imagine. Anyhow, the panel under the headlights gets replaced with this LED panel.

I tore my left achilles - will be in a walking boot for about 2 more months, and then a few months of rehab after that. Driving a manual, especially the Tacoma, is not possible for me anytime soon. I ended up buying an automatic Tacoma.

It’s nice, doesn’t feel like I’m “rowing” through gears. Reverse takes some effort to get into though.

Post history shows an accident (backed up into) to rear left quarter panel?
