How about another contest for our most Asian Redneck.

I'm a born and bred hick from the sticks but lived in Japan for four years, speak passable Japanese, can cook ya a Japanese meal and eat with chopsticks faster than most folks eat with a fork. I wear Jikatabe to hunt and my last hunting dog only knew commands in Japanese.

Hit me up if you have any specific questions! I have run from the eastern start to Cohutta. So questions regarding which roads are fun, side roads, camp areas, etc. I can be helpful with for that section.

here is the general traverse site:

It is a beautiful ride! Especially because you can just break it up into weekend or day sections if you do not have time for the whole thing.

You're like 10x more asian than I am. I was born here in GA. Actually 3rd generation. I only can speak english. On the rare occasion I'm every at a Chinese restaurant I use a fork. I've never owned any camera equipment, old dd was an 88 4runner on 35's at one point it had 42's for fun. Top speed was only achieved down hill. I have a 97 Mustang Cobra in my garage. Have 2 meat smokers, American flag overalls that I made, Australian Dog, and a brunette wife. My uncles have such deep southern accents that my friends can keep a straight face when they meet them haha.
Maybe i'm not the best candidate for redneck asian b/c the only asian thing about me is my last name and I work in banking haha.

I don't wear overalls or eat rocky mountain oysters.

    Hard pass.

So....we're up to 4 now? or you just an honorary Asian?

@SummitBound and I think @TRDridgerunner are going to probably be your best bets for info there.

I'm just an honorary Asian. White as white can be, Grandparents were Norwegian and Scotts-Irish. That said, my Japanese hunting buddies all said I was more Japanese than I was American. LOL

Hit up the aquarium. I actually prefer the one there over the one in ATL. No clue on timing, but they host regattas periodically on the Tennessee River right next to the aquarium.

For what it’s worth, genetically I’m 100% Asian, but was born and raised in rural Alabama. I’ll throw my hat in for most redneck Asian. I’ve only met a small handful of y’all but trust me when I say I DONT at all talk how I look. Haha. Guns, trucks, huntin, I know my way around them all. Haha.

It is a fun and scenic route. The most challenging section is supposed to be Tray Mountain, just north of Helen. However, it is closed due to overuse/misuse/erosion. The last leg of it is pretty slow and mundane so if time is an issue, you wouldn’t be missing anything if you stopped before Armuchee. Feel free to ask any questions.
