All-Pro Standard Duty leaf pack - can you remove a leaf for adjustability?

Sorry, cross-posting this, but I need an answer quickly.

Just wondering if it was common practice to remove a leaf (or two?) to lower the lift and/or give a softer ride. If so, which leafs should be removed?

Isn't the standard pack for unloaded trucks? Removing won't lower more than the height of the spring. Also, my research suggests that the AP springs sag pretty quickly - even the Expo pack. I'd slap 'em on and give em some time. Maybe add a little weight in back if the initial height and ride are a bit more than you want.

Not sure if they're designed for 'unloaded' trucks, but I do think that the stated "3 inches of lift" would probably be too much rake. But, if it settles a lot.....

I just need the ability to haul more. Right now with my TSB + AAL, even a moderate load of camping gear will put me into bro-lean territory. It's bad.

 

I guess I meant the stated amount of lift is for unloaded trucks. But I've been reading that the AP springs settle more than Dakars, for example. Sounds like they should work well for what you want.

Wow my 3-year old self was dumb.

For one, don't get the Allpro packs. They're trash.
For two, there is no such thing as too much rake. Rake is life. Embrace it. Just get ready for the vibes.

The new Dakars aren't that great either. Decent at best, but not nearly as good as the old packs which they built their reputation off of. Once my HD Dakars die I'm just going to suck it up and order some Deavers.
