Here's what I'll be using depending on where how hot the climate is:

I probably will run Amsoil 75W-110 in both or 110 in back 90 in front. I could be convinced to go 75W-140 rear and 75W-110 in the front. TBD.

I did get an opening to move my install up. To Dec 12-13. Man......worse than waiting for OVT 2.0.

Valvoline synthetic 75w90 in the front diff and transfer case, 75w140 in the rear for me. There’s more oil info in the 4.88 thread if you’re interested in reading more.

Yukon vs Nitro gears? Yukon is about $150 cheaper.

Haha yeah. From talking to the few people on here that have ran 5.29's on stock tires and being provided a video of a truck regeared with 5.29's on stock tires doing 70mph at ~2400RPM by the company doing my install I'm fairly confident it will do fine.

Worst case scenario it's horrible and I now have a new excuse to tell my wife I need 35's sooner...

Will try to avoid the interstates as we don't need to be in a hurry. I’m thinking our route will be about 150,000 miles made up of 25% decent pavement, 10% pavement with huge potholes, 45% washboardy graveled roads, 20% deep sandy/very muddy tracks. Something to keep in mind with the stock tires (265/70/17) the engine was at 2500 rpm at 75 mph, now with 275/70/17 I'm doing 2500 rpm at 60 mph. If I was running less weight or had a part time camper I'd use 4.88s. Interesting to see what others think. On the nearly flat interstate at 60 mph I got 14.7 MPG

You know 255/85r16s (33s) will fit with no cutting or suspension upgrade

 Ideally I'd like to swap someone my rims and tires for 275/75-85/16 with the same KO2. I'd really like a taller sidewall and don't need 17" they will be harder to find than 16". Running 7,000 lbs not sure I want 255 though, I have balance the sands of the Sahara with Cameroon's deep mud all within 10,000 miles. I am amazed though how well skinny tires can work well in the sand

AT for me and I’ve put about 700 miles since the ReGear.
Also there is a slight Howl/Howling sound around 60-70 mph.
