New tires for my TRDPro 6 speed manual stock

I’m looking to buy new tires but need an advice. I go off roading a good amount of time. I would like to get something that would “go both ways” (road and off road). Not too big since I’m not lifting it. Please help. I have been reading up on it but still would like assistance from the pros thank you.

Hey. I have a 6mt pro too, I had KO2s originally, but then put on Nitto Ridge Grapplers and absolutely love them. Size is 265/75/16.

Great on road (quiet) and great off-road.

i loved my ridge grapplers for the 1st 10,000 miles,, now they are very loud, im getting ready to ditch them,, so im on the tire hunt now also,,

 

@Foozer the size u told me about...is it a little bigger without a need to lift it? I would like to go bigger but not too big so I don’t need to lift it.

 

I’m no expert but there is a thread on here somewhere and I believe 265-75-16 or 265 70-17 is the biggest you can fit stock on these trucks. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

265/75/16 does not require lift, theyll fit stock with no issues

 

The Pro's have a slightly higher clearance and the Pro rim offset allows for 285/75/r16. There are very specific circumstances when it appears to rub (heavy load while going in reverse and turning). If it's about staying on the safe side, then 265-75-16 should be perfect.

Big fan of my Toyo Open Country R/T's in 265/75/16 for their hybrid aspect. Good when I need them offroad and quiet the 95% percent of the time I am on road.

 

Simple answer if you want the biggest tire for a pro for on road/off road is cooper st maxx 255/85/16. It is a true 33" tire that requires no lift, CMC, or massaging of the inner fender liners. I have them, I love them, they don't rub, and you can fully stuff them in the wheel wells.

 

It’s funny how everyone here that has a 6MT NEVER FORGET to say it... does it matter that your truck is manual or auto to put new tires? No..... guess what... I do have a 6mt and will always write it here no matter what... haha

This. The price is awesome. They're not super heavy so mpgs and acceleration dont take a huge hit. They've worked flawlessly for me so far on rain, ice, slush, 2ft of powder, gravel. I've heard they're pretty good in the mud too.

They seem to have stayed balanced pretty well, and they ride nice and quiet.

I mean lets be honest the manual configuration makes the truck weigh 20 pounds less than its auto equivalent...

 

Samr experience here. I made it through things with these tires with 40-50k miles on them other people were getting stuck in last spring (snow/mud).

i saw zero loss in fuel economy, less road noise, better performance in all conditions. After 56,000 I replaced them with another set.
