I was thinking about running it through a car wash too.

I need to make sure it is fixed before I spend any more money on it. If I can't get the leaking stopped, I am trading it in for a Golf R or GTI.

Went and got a quote for tires too. Store branded Big O AT's are $950 (but are made by Cooper), BFG AT's are $1,000, and Duratracs are $1,100 installed.

I guess another option would be to remove the roof rack and just try to seal it again the way it came from the factory and replace the rubber moldings.

I also want to clarify something to clear the air. As most of you are aware, my truck has thousands of dollars worth of issues/repairs needed and at least 3 reported accidents on Carfax. Which is the reason I would trade it in as I will not sell it to someone private party and lie to them about it being a great truck, etc to get retail value. If I did that, I would feel like and be a shitbag. I could be honest and up front and take a hit financially to sell it private party, but I would very likely get a similar amount as what I would get in trade, and it is far more of a hassle.

The reason I would trade it in is I know I am going to take a huge hit on value (last place offered me 10,500 for it...even though they are going for 15k plus on KSL right now), and no dealership in their right mind is going to put this truck out on their lot, it will be evaluated, history reviewed, and then sent to auction. I don't feel like I am being shady if I traded it at this point for that reason. I feel like if you are buying/bidding on a vehicle at auction, you get what you get.

It should have been totalled when I hit the deer, but wasn't and has been nothing but problems since. I was talking to someone the day I caught that accident on my dash cam. They made a comment similar to good thing it wasn't you. My response to them was, hey as long as my kids weren't in the truck, it would be like putting down a sick animal...

Could just leave it around Rio Grande "accidentally" unlocked for a few hours.

Also, a friend of mine was telling me that UFA pays blue book for vehicles if you donate them to the academy for fire training. Granted you'd only be realizing a portion of that since you would only benefit the tax percentage off blue book, but its something.

I'll have to look into this!

It would be like donating it's organs...hard to do, but would give me warm fuzzies knowing it was going to a good cause!

No. Wired for CarPlay. I was having a hard enough time going into my pocket for $600 and the wireless model was $100 more. No regrets. If I want to leave my phone in my pocket the Bluetooth connects pretty seamlessly. Music doesn't sound as good through bt but not bad just different.

Bought powertank’s “six shooter” knob to upgrade that basic bitch plastic knob. Billet aluminum anodized red. Also put the softopper back on sans front window.
