    I had the "craftsman" version of this but they are all pretty much made by Agrifab. It is a decent machine. The universal fitment of how it attaches to your rider can be a little wonky and some cutting might be necessary. Acorns it will do but anything other than a small trig it might have some small issues with. Just be wary about big stuff in the yard.

    According to Wikipedia, they're used for bait and fish oil.

    Yep, menhaden aren't usually eaten but I have learned my lesson about that. Anything that swims people will eat somehow. I remember ice fishing for rainbows with smelt and one guy came up to me and was borderline angry with me saying "there ain't nothing down there that you are gonna catch that tastes better than the smelt in your bait bucket!"

    We had hundreds if not thousands of them to cut up for testing at work last year. Their heads are barely connected to their bodies by a tiny spine above the gills. Stripers LOVE them as bait fish if you get smaller ones. They are a principle ingredient in most of your higher quality fish foods...so every time I feed the fish I flash back to the fish processing at work.
    We had to extract the pair of otoliths from each fish to age them. They are an inner ear balancing "bone" that put on a new layer each year. By examining it under a microscope you can age the fish. I've mastered the removal. People make jewelry out of them if they're from bigger fish. Pics
    Fish...btw that's a great titanium knife.

    Head cut open to expose the inner ear

    And there's one...try finding 50 of those a day...

    Oh btw Adam Sandler was in West Boylston yesterday. From what I can sleuth he had a screening/saw a move a West Boylston cinemas and then just walked in off the street for dinner at The Mill 185. I wonder if he's location scouting for his next movie.

    And what exactly is your line of work where you need to age menhaden?

    Produce fish porn...
    Orrrr...
    If you're testing for contaminants in the food chain and you want to figure out how much builds up over a certain amount of time (bioaccumulation) you have to figure out how old the fish you're testing are. People eat striped bass. Striped bass contain X amount of contamination of we'll say mercury. Striped bass eat menhaden. We test various members of a food chain in a given area so researchers can figure out how safe the fish are to eat and how much of the contaminants are free in the environment vs making their way up a food chain an onto our plates.
    That's one of the many many things...like if my work were a football team that was the punter...

    Guys, just got a call back on my ski mountain application. Passed the phone interview and will be called in for an "audition" with a group of other people soon enough. Free pass for myself AND my wife! Plus minimum wage, but thats almost 13 bucks these days! Was 7.25 when I last worked minimum wage jobs. If this gets much higher, I don't know how business' with low skill employees that don't make tons of profit will survive. Hell, even North Adams next to us was in hot water because they were paying a ton of people under minimum wage or something! :rofl::rofl:

    All Hail the Robot workforce! :smokertransformer::smokertransformer::smokertransformer:
    :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

    Anyways, sorry,

    wish me luck :fingerscrossed::thumbsup:
