Great watch. As my military service was from (please hold the 'old' jokes) 1976 - 1985. If I think back to how I might have answered these questions in (for example) 1990 versus how I might have answered them every 10 years since, I can honestly say that while a few might be the same every time, some would also be completely different. Call it maturation, wisdom, whatever... The only one that would have been absolute would have been "I am willing to die for my country". Was then, am now, always will be - as long as this country stands for freedom. If we lose our freedom, everything is lost, and it must be preserved.

I guess the question is, what is the question?

Are you willing to die for your country?
    Or
Are you willing to die for the short term goals of the political party in power?
    Or
Are you willing to die for the military industrial complex?
    Or
Are you willing to die for a contractual obligation?

And really none of those are the real question. The real question is “What are you willing to risk your life for?” Because nobody steps up to the line KNOWING they are going to die.

One can argue that the country has not been threatened since WWII and no service member has died for their country since then. People join the military for various personal reasons. Obviously they are serving their country but when the bullets are flying, you are fighting to survive. You are fighting so your buddies will survive. You attack the objective because it has to be done and you can’t live with yourself knowing others risked their lives without you. So regardless of the justness of the war, you are not dying for the cause.

WRT to the soldier’s comment about what other job offers all these resources after the employee leaves... it is apples and oranges. 99.9% of the jobs out there, if you get hurt or killed you screwed the pooch. Serving in the military is inherently dangerous and you are performing a function the Nation requires. Society can survive life without Happy Meals or 15 minute oil changes. It cannot survive without our military.

    Stupid work internet... :annoyed:

    Damn. :D

Haven't even watched the video yet, but completely agree with this paragraph. I'm going to have to go out to my truck and watch this on my phone.

Took the 60 of my 60/40 split out. Wow. The seats really absorb a lot of the road noise. Hopefully when I add some sound deadener it will tone it down. Otherwise I will really need a better stereo.

That's why I put mine back in. I have a MOLLE panel coming. I will be using copious amounts of sound deadening behind it.

I'm still considering putting Toyota all weather flooring in mine. The bedliner floor is pretty noisy on the highway, and it lets a lot of heat through as well. Don't know if I want to shell out $400 though.

Why not just get some of that deadening stuff and / or just get the husky matts.

I could deaden, but then I have exposed deadening all over my floor and that looks shitty. Plus the bedliner is textured so I don't know how well it'd hold. I already have some husky fitted floor mats but that doesn't do anything for heat/sound.

Just get a skateboard, they're pretty quiet. Till you flatspot the wheels or your bearings start to go.

Let’s not get carried away nick

there’s some options I could go with but the kicker will be making it look halfway decent. That’s why I like the idea of the all weather flooring from Toyota because I know it’ll look good and be effective.

Are you talking about the work-truck level molded vinyl?
