It gets creepy when he watches me take a shower up on the glass door and I don’t realize he’s there until he meows...

Reminds me of that old saying, "wishing your pets could talk is a fun thought, until you remember everything you've ever done in front of your pets - or that they've seen you do"

The first few times I had my fiancé over and we were doing the deed, he’d jump up on the bed (that had his blanket on it) and hiss at her when I had her on all fours ahahaha.

Needless to say, I’m very thankful she’s decided to stick around for a lifetime..

LOL yeah I think most every cat owner has had that happen at some point. Harley will stay on the bed with my wife and I at all times. At. All. Times. It can be kind of weird.

I know they know what’s going on. Jaxson probably takes pride in trying to be a cock block...

Especially when the cat starts purring loudly from the other end of the bed while you're getting busy.

Hey all! I have an 11-ish year old tuxedo girl named Helen I recently adopted from the local HS. She had one eye removed due to an infection, but is full of spunk and is super sweet! She's a little chunky so she's on a diet now and I think she hates me a little because of it :)

I took a year off of having cats because my 19 year old tortie died last August. The most devastating thing I have ever been through. I got her when she was 12 weeks old and I was 18 years old. She traveled with me all over the country for school and work. She was with me for half of my life and it is still painful talking about it. Helen has helped, I missed having a cat so here I am. Very good of you to take Helen in, senior cats (and dogs) so often get overlooked for adoption and have equal if not more love to give.

She does look a bit like a heckin chonker according to the Chonk Chart

    chonk-chart-a-heckin-chonker-a-fine-boi-he-chomnk-61841593.jpg

My cat Harley used to be a Hefty Chonk but with a more controlled feeding schedule and healthier food I've got him down to about a Heckin' Chonker as well...he's a big guy so I don't know if he'll ever be Fine Boi status, but I'm tryin

I bought one of those automatic feeders for her that drops small food portions 4x/day. She sits in front of it like clockwork about 5 minutes before it dispenses. And if she's not standing at it when it goes off, she runs so fast it feels like an earthquake!

LOL yeah we give our 3 cats one small bowl of food each in the AM when we get up, then they get one more small bowl split between the 3 of them at night.

Before that we just had a big free-feeder that they could eat out of whenever they wanted to, which wasn't so good for Harley since he likes to eat.

But man if we sleep in on weekends and don't feed them by 9am, they will make damn sure we know they're hungry

We began the adoption process through the rescue yesterday evening. In a couple weeks we’ll be a 4 cat household. :goingcrazy:

Marty will be rounding out our “orange trio”

The story is that he was found near a church in NC on a day when they were “blessing pets” :notsure:
He was solo and quite skinny when he was found so he was initially bottle fed. He’s now eating kitten chow on his own and steadily gaining weight.
My daughters friends family is fostering him until he’s old enough for adoption. They’ve been doing this for quite some time with various litters of kittens (usually two or three) but Marty is their first solo foster.
He’s very cuddly and affectionate. :D

We’ll do the same introductory protocol we did for Ollie & Harry when we brought them home.

With some luck they’ll assimilate well. :fingerscrossed:

Auggie’s ready to pack her bags...

So sorry to hear this! :pout:

I was wondering the same thing.

    :yay:

    Good looking cat.

    Where are you heading?

I didn’t know that about alcohol. Thanks for the heads up.

    Yep!

 Just a tad distracting.

    :rofl::rofl:

:woot:That is so awesome that you have rescued an older cat. Thanks!!

Sorry for the loss of your Tortie. Torties seem to have unique personalities that I really like.

They let you sleep in??? Yours are nicer than ours. 5 am wake up call every weekend!!!:annoyed:

    :bananadance: Awesome!

Lol just think of a louder, deeper meow that lasts 5 times as long. He’s vocal, I’ll have to

Sorry for the loss of your tortie. Thank you so much for adopting a “less than perfect” cat. For too often those are the ones harder to adopt and are euthanized. Missing an eye doesn’t mean they have less love to give.

Waiting for pics Craig. Marty wants to know if Marty will stay Marty.

Jaxson got a girlfriend today. After hissing at her crate like a wild cheetah (actually a scary sound) he finally realized it was a little girl - Jenna. I adopted her from the SPCA.

She’s a regular 8lb normal sized housecat, so this picture should better display Jaxsons size and length.
