Any of you guys with a S/C have a Pelfrey plate bumper and winch? scoring a hell of a deal on one so I'm curious if I'll need to move the intercooler pump. I'm assuming so..

 

My guess is you’ll be fine. I didn’t have any issues with my bumper and I chopped the cross member to raise it up. Unless there’s some internal bracing for the winch plate.

I'd like to see the pictures of intercooler pumps with winch bumpers. I have a CBI bumper and haven't installed my blower yet, but know there will be challenges with pump mounting.

 

by buddy has a SC and pelfrey and 12k winch and nothing moved. He did cut one part that used to support the stock bumper ( I did the same as well) you should be good.

 

While I am waiting for the SC install been putting off a few maintenance items. Recently noticed it this week the truck seems to be driving fine but my MPG took a fast dive on this last tank of gas. Driven a bit over 1/4 tank and only gone 19 miles. Been holding off on the plugs for the SC but may need to do it now. Any other things I should check out first? Working on engines not an area I know too much on outside of the general items. Recently done the general maintenance such a air cleaner, oil, etc. Not getting any error codes when I read it either. if its a plug or injector etc that will all get replaced soon enough but cant be getting 100 miles a tank in the mean time. I have been seeing avg mpg go from 11-12 to 8ish prob even worse on this one.

 

Check tire pressures.

 

Been pretending you have the sc already and had an exceptionally heavy foot? 10-12 is on the low side of what you should be getting with the sc unless you’re wheeling, towing, etc

 

i moved mine some. was able to use stock hose too. using a factory threaded hole.

 

do you have a hole in your fuel tank? thats some sour mileage.

 

It could be cool. Still want a PD blower

 

that would be some shit but no have not smelled or seen any gas leaking. a bit stumped.
