Got some questions.

Sooo..I recently bought a 2011 DC OR 4x2 Automatic and there has been some things that worry me or piss me off about it.

When I first got it, I had 11 miles, and I drove it home from the dealership about 100 miles away, on that trip home, I tried my best to not push it hard because it needed breaking in but I was in New Orleans and everyone drives fast to get in their lanes or not get hit. On that trip home I did not notice any of these things I am about to list.

Well around 300 miles, I started to notice the downshifting when I am coming from about 45mph to slow down to a stop. I let the gas go and the truck rolls and at about 30mph I will feel the downshift to where my head jerks forward just a bit. Kind of like I very lightly tap the break really quick. I have read about this one but have not found the solid explanation.

Another, is accelerating to take turns or slowly accelerating from a stop. When I accelerate to take a turn or go straight and I am from a stop, the truck goes slow when I am lightly pressing the gas and it takes maybe 2 seconds and I feel the shift and it proceeds faster. Normal? I have read on others but still not fully sure of my situation.

My windows, all sides, back, and windshield. Well, I was a bit of in a rush for work so I decided to wash my truck because of the bugs that smashed all over the front on the way home from the interstate. When I washed my truck, it was sunny. So some bits dried on the windows and I guess the protectant that was supposed to be there from the dealer was washed off from the pressure washer I used and the little bit of water that dried left hard water spots. I tried the vinegar and invisible glass that SO many people recommended...I did not see very many results unless I was using the products wrong. I have had the spots for about 1 week now, so it shouldn't be too deep. So what are your best suggestions for the hard water spots to be removed, and then sealed so this won't happen again.

I really love the truck, but these little things just make it very frustrating that I work so hard to pay for it, and these little things show up. I have searched on everything I had, but I would just like an answer from the factors that I have.

The downshifting is normal, not sure on the acceleration issue, or the bugs on windsheild.

 

some where on here theres a post all about window spots and what people have done to remove them. not sure how to find it since ive not been here that long but im sure one of the other members could dig it up for ya,theyre nice like that..

 

use rainX after washing/cleaning your windows. That'll get rid of the spots.

For acceleration thing on turns, it's most likely vsc. Turn it off and see if it still does it.

 

welcome to tw from biloxi. the only thing i can help u with is the water spots. I have a bottle full of rain x and if u spray tht on a couple of times it shouldnt form as bad if not at all. I never had waterspots on the windshield after i put it on but had some on the sides where i didnt apply it. Plus it really helps in the rain with visibility.

 

x2... I love not having to use wipers when I'm going 40mph+

 

The transmission is still "learning". Give it time.

Tacoma92 has the right answer for the water spots.

All vehicles have minor issues, even right from the factory so if you think those "problems" you are having are a big deal, they simply aren't. Deal with it or get another vehicle.

 

Yea, I have searched all over for these, but thanks though. I absolutely love the truck, I just wish I woulda have put the Rain-X and other protectants on before. This is my very first "New" vehicle so I am still getting used to it. Thanks for everyones answers though, they really do help!
