One spark with the 50 mph winds out there right now will end poorly with lost of devastation.
The horrible thing is.... the insurance companies went around assessing properties of the past 2 years and have canceled many many policies because you live in a fire prone zone. Like building your house on a dry river bed and then act surprised when your house gets flooded.

 

Oh the power companies don't care do much about that. They just don't want to be sued for damages of the aftermath

but why do people build there? we have issues with people who build in known flood land and act surprised when their house is underwater? i mean... really? big chunk of indiana use to be swamp land till the 30s when congress voted it drained!

Kind of like what we got going on here. People build houses between the Missouri River and the levee because it’s “beautiful” there. Then act all surprised when it floods. There were people that have moved out 6 times since March because of flooding this year. And as soon as the river drops back in it’s banks they move right back in and start repairing the place.
