I also need to reweld the bed rail and reinforce it because it broke on the last wheeling trip; you can see it cracked around the weld for the hilift mount in this photo.

    You’re going to 5.29s, right?

I am, I contemplated 4.88s but I figured I will appreciate the 5.29s much more on the trail.

My truck doesn't see many highyway miles anymore anyways since I have a car and a tow rig :homer:

Truth be told I'll still be wanting a crawl box down the road regardless of the gears I go with now

That’s what I was thinking, man. Just go big since you’re trailering anyway!

    :headbang:

Yeah, I’ve heard those are pretty cool.

I had thought about doing a crawl box before gears but the final crawl ratio worked out to be similar either way. Gears will make it more drive-able on and off the trail though so that's where I'll start

The gears will be nice, for sure.

Just know that the crawler is going to give you a 100X bigger smile on your face when you get around to it.

Started taking things apart to get into it and ready for the Moab trip. I had to take the center skid off to be able to test my O2 sensors for the CEL I'm chasing.

Looks like the belly skid got some love on Spring Creek

    IMG_20191022_193843.jpg

I need to fix the bedrail where it cracked under the weight of the hi lift. Seemed like a good time to remove the bedliner. Maybe I'll weld in the bottom of the jack mounts to the bed side. Also thinking about building a headache rack to mount the jack and my shovel to instead...and I'd like to built a spare tire mount too :bananadead:

    I also found some cancer
