    Hi All,

I have had my Tacoma since October of 2018 and have kept it pretty stock. Has tech package and premium as well. Got it for $36,600 plus all the fees. It has 18,600 miles now but it's giving me some issues. Had fuel pump issues twice now and I had to get it towed one of those times. It's vibrating now and the gear shifting sucks. It's been in the shop a total of 28 days. Out of all my vehicles that I've had, it's been in the shop the most.

Question: Wait for another fuel pump issue and see if it qualifies as a lemon, trade in for a 2020 Taco or RAV4 Off Road? Thanks, any advice is appreciated.

Post the paperwork from the dealer on the diagnosis about the fuel issues and we’ll go from there...it’s easy to blame the truck but most of the time its incompetence.

They replaced the fuel pump and then a part on the fuel pump. I don't have the paperwork on me but it's happened to multiple 2018/2019 Tacos from what I've read.

What kind of vibration issues? Mine shakes when I hit the gas hard from a dead stop up until ~15mph.

Mine is also a 2019 TRD OR DCSB, auto, premium truck package, etc. Purchased May 2019.

Yes, that's exactly what happens to me as well but I'm not even hitting the gas very hard. The engine sounds like it's struggling too when I first drive off in the morning.

Just saw another thread on this topic:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vibration-on-hard-acceleration.635501/

Sounds like this is normal with this suspension design based upon the comments there.

There is more than one fuel pump in that truck that’s why we need the paperwork hate to see you take a 4K loss on a trade in over something that’s probably easy to fix with proper diagnosis. In my experience these dealers like to whip out the parts cannon and fire away but like a poor marksman they keep missing the target.

Did you keep the Tacoma or trade it off for the Rav4?
