    About 4 hours in it today, including beer breaks and planning mods to the smoker and trailer.

    We polished lots of welds, then got the door hung! Another milestone!

    Maner with the big grinder for the door. I'm only qualified for the Hello Kitty grinder, which I took to the cook chamber.

    One of the best things about working with Maner is he doesn't leave anything to chance and will over-engineer for peace of mind. We scrapped the two bullet hinges the plans called for and used bullet hinges that were twice as robust, then used four of them! Maner welding them on:

    Plans called for a slam latch. We're doing toggle latches. Here we're figuring how we ought to mount them. Need Zach's input tomorrow ;)

    Really good. The guy said he was putting me on the list and would be flying in from Florida for a final interview with a panel of stakeholders for the position.

    I should know more in a week or two, but it was all signs are positive so far.
