I think there is a potential storyline there based on how the fight ended. The scheduled 5 round fight ended because of an eye poke. Cardio was clearly in Jeremy’s favor and he was beating him up towards the end of the 3rd and I think he would have finished him with 2 more rounds. I don’t think Yair would want to run it back for 5 rounds because deep down he knows.....

 

If they could get out of those 10 minute first rounds! I miss Pride....

How did the barber vs robertson fight stop with tko by punches while chick still stood with hands ups and then the Yair vs Stephens keeps going on for like 30 seconds after Stephens was decimated not knowing what planet he is on. Letting that fight progress was right move by ref but seems like the chick fight ended way early if tou compare the situations

 

Just because someones hands are up doesn't mean they are intelligently defending themselves. A ref is less then 5 feet from what's going on. Even the best cameraman can't let us see what the ref does. It's a judgement call on his part. All in all I say they get it right 95% of the time. I don't think either one was a bad stoppage.

 

I think Forrests jaw got dislocated. Prob why he ran out of thr ring afterwards.

 

I felt like it was an okay stoppage. Robertson certainly didn't seem to contest it. I think she knew Barber had her number... It's to compare that fight with Stephens vs Rodriguez. Stephens is a known quantity that can take a hit and keep on trucking. I can understand why a ref might give him more of a chance to recover than a relative unknown like Robertson.
