Way past 1000 mi on shocks and no they dont need a rebuild yet. Typical road bumps are fine. Its only when ya hit a big bump and the shocks rebound pretty hard. Cant help thinking this would be minimized or eliminated with a 600lb spring considering my no added weight. I also know you hit a big enough bump any shock will have a hard thud at full ext.

Does anyone know if ADS offers a free "first" revalve like King?

Possibly if you buy direct from them, they didn't charge me extra to revalve when I had mine rebuilt. Send them an email, they are pretty responsive and can give you more accurate than random people on the internet

I sent mine back for a couple reasons and they charged me for re-valve. Curious what they say when you ask.

I just emailed them a few questions, so I'll post back when I get a response. Kind of nice how King offers the first revalve...I wasn't aware of that until I called them.

About to pull the trigger on ADS or Kings any day now....just need to make sure I cover all my bases.

What exactly did you change in your setup and if you don't mind me asking, what did it run you?

Tell them how much your truck weighs, what you use it for, and any complaints you have about how the shocks currently work

Response from ADS regarding first revalve.

"We no longer advertise a one time free revalve we spend a lot of time in the real world testing our valving and rarely need to make adjustments if you have a special situation that dictates special valving we can do that valving for an additional fee."

Realistically, most people probably won't ever need a revalve, but it's not bad to have in your back pocket....just in case.

Finally made the complete switch to ADS. Had the fronts for a while, and just recently got the 12” smooth bodies for the rear. I had to build up the courage to chop and weld in the BAMF shock relocation. I also ditched the BAMF lower axle mounts for some Total Chaos mounts.

How hard do you crank these spring compressors down? Did you still use a spanner/punch to adjust the collar?

Good question. I bought a set of these and have yet to use them. I would imagine just enough to use a punch or spanner wrench...either being much easier with tension off of the spring.

I gave these a go yesterday and they are awesome. Just set them up on either side of the coil and crank them down evenly until you create some space between the collar and the coil. Then turn the collar down and repeat as necessary. Set mine to 1.5 inches on the driver and 1.125” on the passenger bases on them coming to me with 3/8” difference side to side. I’m pumped to install these this weekend!

What are you currently running? Going from stock to ADS for me was almost laughable. Soaks up everything so well.
