Just scored one badass HK94. Never been shot!
I love all SIG MPXs, but this HK is just sick!

On another note. I put my skids on this am. Holy balls these BudBuilt skids are super nice.
I have bought 3/4 different skids in my days. These are most certainly top notch.

Question for those with experience with it. I was looking at getting a beater that gets better mpg for putting miles on since a Tundra sucks.

Checked the GA registration/tavt calculator and for something like a 2007 focus that would cost $2500 to buy, the TAVT would be over $1200. I know it says that amount is the max... does it end up factoring in the sales price in real life and being a reasonable amount or do they really expect me to pay 1200 for tags on a 2k car? I called and the county folk told me to use the calculator.

Would likely be a private party purchase, older/cheaper/reliable with no tags to transfer over.

The amount they get from the year, make, model, and mileage is the valuation, no exceptions. You can "appeal" the value of the tax using one of these: https://dor.georgia.gov/pt-311a-appeal-assessment-form but there's no guarantee they will accept it.

If their calculator says $1200, they'll expect that much. It's absolute BS.

We took the family camping this weekend. Two good dogs, two wild boys, one awesome wife. We got rained out, but it was still a lot of fun.

    The well-behaved kids:

The wild kids (especially the 2 year old, he's 10/10 an animal):

    Camp at Cloudland Canyon:

The plan was get there Friday PM, hike the West Rim trail Saturday, maybe see some waterfalls Sunday. What happened was RAIN delays, seeing the TN Aquarium, rain, lookout mtn, and trains, rain, and head home early Sunday right as the weather got perfect to hike. Plans with kids never go as expected, but it was still worth it.

I have the boys all hyped up for the trip to Choccolocco (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ga-tw-acc-garage-family-choccolocco-orv-nov-8-10th.622222/) - Noah especially wants to go offroading. He kept asking why we weren't offroading earlier today, he was sad to hear I can't offroad with a trailer. I'll have to get one of those fancy Australian tow rigs if I get rich one day.

Guess I'll keep stuff registered in another state since I go through vehicles often and 50% tax is not gonna happen for toys.

    Are motorcycles a similar ripoff?

edit... discovered using calculator without a VIN number is basically useless.
