Probably why his picture or name is not listed on the dealerships web site.

Insurance company gave me 24k for my '11 4X4 Base Dbl Cab with 60k on it when it was totaled. Don't know if this info will be of any help to you but figured I'd offer the info just in case.

Totaled or it ought to be. My '11 was totaled with far less damage than that. That sucks. Hope you weren't hurt!

    Everyone walked away, thank goodness.

Been there, but it was my wife's 2006 Prius. Hit while stopped behind a bus by a car doing 45 in a 30. No injuries in our car.

Glad you're okay, and I hope their insurance company takes care of you.

Y'all get on here and share prices and use every tool in the world to get dealers to sell to you at as little profit as possible and then complain because their salespeople aren't pro level? The truth is you want the lowest price possible. You don't want a sales person you want a facilitator. You complain if they don't know every feature of every trim level of Toyota's 15 models....while you are typically focused on just one model in just one or two trim levels and have researched the shit out of it for months. You say it's their job, sure and the pros are working for luxury brands NOT schlepping Corollas to people with 540 credit scores.

The unemployment level is crazy low, in many cases they will employ anyone with a pulse at a dealership. They will give you a shot, have you call you entire contact list and see if you can birddog a few friends and family into buying a car, sink or swim. I doubt if they will invest in any real training until you prove yourself a little.

ok. I’m chiming in here. I sell Toyota’s at a Toyota dealership. I sell all new at invoice. Pro, off rd or what ever. It does not matter. No number back and forth games or bs. I talk to you I say invoice (yes there is back end and finance reserve) but I am being more than fair at invoice. If you are cool with that then I demo your truck and so on. If you are a dick and offer me 6k under invoice I simply say. You want a good buy? Walk you to the door and say good bye! (Done it many times) When someone is being more than fair to you and not playing number games then respect that and buy or don’t. Very simple. I don’t go to your house and shit on your rug so don’t come to me an try that either. I work for a dealership where I am able to do what I want (a good thing-no managers need to get involved). If I need to I will go a buck into the backend of the deal but not often as invoice leaves the backend to keep lights on.
I will say that 90% that I have sold he are invoice and that is that. I even print it off to show people. If that’s not fair then go buy somewhere else. It does not bother me at all. Sold two 2020 Tacoma pros this week at invoice and they were happy as hell.
my point is be fair to the sales guy and he will be fair to you. I understand not all dealerships are like this not family run and want every penny that can get. In my opinion it really is not worth the back and forth game.
    ok. I’m done. Lol
