I'm very interested in doing this, and in fact running both to a Viper aftermarket alarm on the "trunk" release signal that would work in a car. Glad to hear that at least one part works, pairing the capper and dynolock.

Your truck looks great. This photo... It looks like the salt flats in the Mojave National Preserve near Zzyzx. The mountain in the background looks like Cowhole Mountain. Awesome. :)

How much are you all paying for your truck caps? I'm looking at getting a Leer 100R but for my access cab but I don't even have a ball park idea about what it would be...

Wow. I was hoping for about half that price... Maybe I'll look for a used one and re-paint it if necessary.

That's the reason I went with a Bestop Supertopper. It's a canvas shell like the Jeep soft tops. It can be folded and removed by one person, and it was between $500 and $600. Just have to be careful with it in extremely cold climates. I shattered the back window (clear vinyl) one morning when it was -10F or so when I tried opening it. Also, it helps to rub bees wax on the zippers to lube them. Other than that, I've had it for a couple years now.

My ARE was a tad over $2k with a number of options. I believe the comparable Leer was within $50.

I have the MX style with carpet headliner, fold-in sliding front window, screen vent side windows, and a Yakima rack.

My Leer 100 XQ was $1,560.00 in October of 2008. The only option I got was the removable rear window.
Shop around. There was about a $300 difference in price between the dealers in my area.
