Sport gets new rims vs 2019 I think. Other than they it’s the same difference as last year. Both have car play updates lights etc

Any major differences this year? I see you deleted your post.

To each their own. Since I'm a mall crawler, I like the bigger rims and color keyed matching fenders/bumpers. Sports get a sports tune suspension(hitachi) instead of the bilstein. Of course with the Sports you get the non-functional hood that people with the flat hoods are willing to swap plus some bonus cash; I'm a form over function type.

TRD Sport also has the air dam and 1MPG does add up over time. I just don’t know if an air dam + nonfunctional hood scoop is a fair trade to replace crawl control, fenders, and bilstein shocks for the cost difference. (Maybe skid plates also I forget)

MPG between the Sport and OR are the same. The 2WD version gets a 1 mpg boost, but 4x4 AT both Sport and OR are listed at 18/23.

I'm reading on the specs that the Sport now comes with Bilstein shocks instead of the Hitachi's.

So they should ride the same in theory now?

just because it's the same company doesn't mean they ride the same.

The old Sport bilstiens were famously problematic.

I haven't changed a red hatachi shock yet.

Fair. I guess I'll find out. My Black Sport Premium DCLB should be here next week. I like the Off road but that short box is useless to me.

I'll likely swap them for the 6112's anyway for an inch or two of extra clearance.

Off topic a tad but if I price out both of these in 2wd with tech package they’re about 36,500 and with LED is like 39,500 am I missing something ‍♂️

    Besides the other obvious differences,

Sport has the option of Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) (standard on Limited DC)
Off Road has the option of Multi-terrain Monitor (MTM) (standard on Pro)

    :notsure:

Anyone seen this in the flesh? Sounds kinda handy for tight spots in the bush.

    Dealer option? Or factory only?

I was reading the Specs from Toyota, it says Bilstein for the Off Road and sport tuned for the Sport.

The specs on the Toyota website lists the rear suspension as having a stabilizer bar, whereas on prior years it did not. Site has the bar listed for both 2019 and 2020.
Is that correct, or a mistake? Do the 2020 Tacoma’s have a rear stabilizer bar?3E19B6EA-7A24-4396-8DD7-D088D04250E7.jpg

It looks like they are "Sport Tuned Bilsteins"

Regardless, I'll have a look when it shows up.

When I do the same thing under Toyota for my area it just says Sport Tuned and only has Bilstein listed under Off Road.
