Took mine bird hunting and got my nice clean truck full of dog hair. Then drove home and watched the bluebirds
attack their reflection and shit all over the sparkling clean exterior. o_O

I got my tires mounted today and bed extender installed (part of the deal when I bought it). Really happy with the tires, BFG KO2s (265/75/16).

Only issue was my appointment with the dealership... Dropped it off at 11 and was told 2-3 hrs tops. I had one of my guys drop me off at the 3.5hr mark and saw it being pulled into the service bay right after I walked in to pick it up. No phone call saying it was going to be longer. Service rep took the wrong attitude from the start, after I calibrated him I told him to go get the service manager. He (service manager) at least started with an apology but then went to those big tires take a while to balance...guess he didn't realize I watched it being pulled in. But after a little calibration on him, we agreed that he would personally take me back to work and then drive my truck to me. It was 5 hrs and 40 min total from the time I dropped it off until the time I had it back. I was not impressed at all...

I’ve also wondered if the aftermarket grills that restrict more airflow effect the truck

Well, I do not live in Philly but in So. Cal. (I know) All I have in the front of the grille is a 20" light bar and no apparent difference with my cooling by my Fusion app. monitor! Around 194* to around 204* consistently. Pretty hot around here sometimes. Up to 9000', cool, around 190* - 195* . Not bad? Both would be AT and coolant temps. Right around there.

The coolant system and thermostat will obviously keep things running at their set temp unless the entire system is blocked off. It will however have to work harder to achieve the correct temp. The fan would obviously have to turn on more often etc etc etc. There’s no way it wouldn’t have some effect on the truck. Example.......... I drove 18 wheelers for many years up north and we’d put covers on the tractor grill to help keep the motor warm, which works.

Done with mods for a while. Last few include SSO Slimline bumper (no winch yet) and Car Solutions front camera. Gotta get few k miles till I'll put new tires on.
For now - I only feed her and take her out:

Well actually the fan on this truck is on all the time I am running the engine , this is a Tacoma, NOT a 18 wheeler. I have a PRO grille on this 2017 truck and I have not experienced any difficulty COLD weather or WARM weather. I don't believe that there could be a comparison to any 18 wheeler? IMHO. :hattip:
