I'm thinking about doing it with a semi-truck flap

 

The problem I see with a rack over your softtopper is how do you open or close it you can't fold the softtopper forward with a metal rack above it if you could figure out a way to move the rack to fold the softtopper down I would do one

If there's a big enough gap in the middle, it can allow the Softopper to fold forward. That or it needs to be built higher.

 

Thats a neat looking rack, did you weld it? Looks good.

 

I did mine with semi flap I cut it in half cause there 24" across so it gave me 2 flaps at 12x36

I can cut mine higher if I want but I need more testing at hf to verify right now they work great with mud

 

I'd like to do it to keep the 50-state legality

Clean it up from the box when I get a little further in the garage, see what works and doesn't. It MIGHT have been working when his dad dumped it on our member! Pretty sure. Won't fit on the front with my guard, might get a hitch mount, or might use it for trades if it works well. I think it's just messy, and ignored. I'll know sometime next month. He was close by, and I consider it a lucky chance and something to play with. Eventually, I need one.

AH - I forgot about rear fender cut outs! Can I have them if I come get them - or Phoosa TW them? I can paint them black.
Jerry's truck was the black one in our meets with the big ass flag, air horn, and bed spare. He charged a lot, and left the wife with the bills... before it gets picked up, we (mostly me it seems) are trying to put it "stock". And Chad will sell the cool stuff for her.
I have collected -
Center front crash bar and plastic from 4Sky - no hardware.
Discovered I am needing fender cuts.
I found a rear bumper at Texomas, and am working on picking that up - no hardware (hopefully, he can tell me a bunch of bolts I can buy!)
Rear fender cutoffs - YOU have them? I will be happy to scrounge them.
Just trying to be a helper.
