@US Marine Crossed a small run (stream) in the mountain today like I used to when I was young. Run is about four foot wide, about one and a half foot drop down. Been crossing where I can hold onto a sapling and step down. No sapling around where I needed to cross today and had to be where Dad was. Well either knee was going to work or not. Did a one step down into creek bad leg first and one step up onto far bank with good leg continuous motion and I was off. No pain and actually feel really good right now! Gotta push I guess? Hopefully words of encouragement.

 

no sir. had a glass or two and ate. it was a nice time. then i canned two cans of the irish red. he has a canning machine ,fill can ,sit in machine and it spins the can and a lever roller seals the lid to the can. kind of like a reverse can opener.

 

hehe. wife said ive got a big ole head. told her it was the way she held the phone taking the pic !lol

I learned in PT when climbing up or down stairs or uneven steep terrain ....

When climbing up use your good leg followed by your bad leg . When climbing down lead with you bad leg first

I'm getting stronger ea day plus gaining ROM . My PT was very impressed last night on my progress especially being able to walk around my place without the aid of my cane or walker . Also my ROM has improved greatly and that I'm only 3 weeks post OP

Only thing that's not good is my l/knee on my good leg is really showing the wear and tear of taking all the weight and strain for 5 years . It's starting to give out and hyperextention is very noticeable now . I've got an appointment Nov 7th to be fitted for brace that will limit flexion and extension
