Closest one to us is Chris @Texoma . You can bring him your spring/shock setup and he can put it together for you for cheap. Local shops can assemble the assembly, too

If you have access to Fort Hood, the Auto skills center has what you need. That's where I did my lift.

 

I try to stay off hood. I don’t like cleaning all the bullets and stuff out of my truck

 

I get that lol. Ammo isn't a problem coming on post unless its AP.

 

I may take em over to McGuire’s and see if they have one. Guess I could chance it with autozone ones lol.

 

Where did you get your truck aligned after the lift josh

 

I took it to the Firestone on post after I did my lift at Sprockets. Got the lifetime alignment and I've been getting aligned there when I was still active, now at the Firestone in Temple. @MattCowsmasher , where do you get yours aligned? It's at Tires 2 You or at Goodyear?

Firestone in Temple kinda sucks and won't do custom specs. The Toyota dealer in Temple has done custom spec alignments for me in the past.

 

Temple use to do my Jeep for me. I don’t know enough to tell them to do custom stuff for the alignment.

 

I’ve been using Goodyear in Belton by heb those guys have been awesome and got the specs I asked for without issue.

 

They won't do it anyways. I tried to explain the reasons for my suspension alignment and they didn't understand lol. Tech also said he wouldn't do it because he wasn't going to be liable lol .

I went to trade school and did that stuff for a living before the Army.

The dudes there are grease monkeys, not techs lol. They know what to do, but not the science behind it. They can barely get my car properly aligned with the steering wheel straight, so I periodically have them toe-and-go. If I need custom alignment specs, I'll go to the Toyota dealer first then Tandem off-road near Dallas.

 

I don’t but I have a set of 886s you can borrow if one of your fronts has blown out to get you by.

 

Lmao. Wait a minute. How do you figure out what you need your alignment to be? In order to tell them what ya want?

 

Thanks bud. Got parts on the way. My driver front shock is leaking. Also have to replace my 600# pound springs with 650s. Do to all that armor!!!

I told them to max out caster first, then adjust camber to zero, then adjust toe to zero. They wouldn't do it because of factory specs and i explained to them it's to
1. Clear 35s
2. Moving camber to zero allows the wheel at it's current lift to remain in the center of the camber range as the suspension compresses and extends and
3. Because I said so lol.
