Is it possible to use the heated seat switches out of a 2010 tundra and put them in my 2009 tacoma? i want to move the seat switches to under the climate controls between the cigarette lighter and the aux power plug.

What are you using them for?

The tundra switch looks like its a variable setting - not on/off. So, whatever your using it for needs to have the capability of variable output (so to speak).

They would only work if your current seats have a variable heat like the Tundra...

So maybe they have a mini rheostat or you could use one from the tundra?

so gonna have to get my hands on the wiring diagrams and a switch set and see if it will work. then i can remove the switches from the center console and use the space for other custom switches is the idea (read front and rear lockers eventually).

heated seats are just resistors varying the voltage through them is no big deal. They are not sensitive electronics by any means.

    I'm confused....

Your tacoma came with heated seats from the factory?

If yes....then why do you need switches to operate them?

It seems the OP does not like the current switch location and the current switches probably would not fit in the blank locations that are in the Tacoma.

The Tundra switches look like they would fit the OEM empty slots in the Tacoma.

Personally, it seems it would be inconvenient to me to reach down underneath the climate controls to adjust the seat heaters. I would think in the center console near the armrest or shifter would be a better location.

Canada has them stock with leather option from the factory.,

But getting a DC OR is no go.

i was originally going to use the blanks for my aux driving and zux fog lights but cant find a stock toyota switch that i like. Trying to give it a stock look while also being custom, so i though if i can put the heated seat switches there, i can move the lights to the center console with the locker switches that ill add later. Unless somone has an idea for a good switch that will fit between the cig lighters. I am adding FJ fog switches for the facotry fogs and my backup lights, the ones with the on indicator.

Where are your switches now? Also, not all heaters are the same - usually the simpler ones ( high/low) have a simple thermostat with a high power switch, the complex ones (variable) can have low power switches with computer control. Were you to use a low power switch on a high power system, you'd fry the switch quick! My guess is you can't use the Tundra ones, but you might be able to use those simple aftermarket ones.
