Funny you say that because I always called it pop growing up until I was in my late teens. We moved around a bunch and living in Texas as a kid I always called it pop. Plus my parents are from Missouri so they did too.

If you call it pop out here though people won't know wtf you're talking about

I knew I was in the South when I was standing in the middle of the WalMart Supercenter, sneezed, and had five people tell me “Bless You”.

 

Or they hand you an actual hankerchief that they then put back in their pocket when you're done with it

 

thats just common kidness. Even in shithole Chicago you'll get a bless you for sneezing

 

Everyone is cold and distant in California. If you sneeze, they get mad at you for interrupting their bubble.

 

I hate being called "baby" "sweetheart" or "honey" by restaurant staff. I refuse to say bless you.

 

I have a hard time not saying "fuck you" when someone sneezes cause my friends and I used to do it all the time to each other growing up.

 

He said IPA is disgusting. Idk if we can trust him

 

I remember showing my California ID to a cashier and she just was shocked someone would come from California to the middle of nowhere Mississippi.

 

i can picture many fights breaking out if you did that.. and it'd be hilarious

 

i find it interesting how people know im from chicago within 2 minutes of me talking. i didnt think i had the accent that much
