Not sure we talked about box canyon for a bit or possibly the easier side of ajax mine rd(not the difficult canyon route) to get to the AZ Trail hiker box south of picket post. That 25 mile stretch of trail is bone dry right now and the hiker box is empty. I just have never talked to anyone whose gone that way so have no idea what we'd be getting into.

I'm rolling a stock 3rd gen so other than dimension issues with your tundra you should be ok cause I told them nothing likely to do body damage is my only request

    Busy busy day today.

@GT7 Archive shock relocate and hydro bumps.

And since that went quicker than expected I decided to go for some stuffed tires for dinner.

Lots more trimming from my initial cuts, and there is hardly any cab mount left. But it clears at full bump lock to lock. Hopefully buttoning up the passenger side tomorrow.

Yeah I am going to pick a few of those up too, but my main lights are going to be replaceable LED T8 tubes so I can try different color temps and/or bulbs if I want. For me if the color temp goes too high it gets super duper fatiguing, 6500 is just way too much eyestrain for me.

I think 5000K is what I am looking for (and those barrina lights come in that temp too) but I will withhold judgement until I see the 5000s I bought on the advice of a super crazy wash/detailer guy.

Anyways I got a kit to rewire the fluorescent fixtures up to 1 sided LED power, it's different mounting end plates and a ballast delete. Should be manageable even for me, gets delivered tomorrow!

If I really want to be stupid I can buy the insane 95+ CRI bulbs for like $20 a pop and be the weapons-grade nerd who has perfect color reproduction in his garage lights.

    Light color/temp is no joke!

the boss knows instantly if I got something other than sunlight/yellow temp in any type of bulb!

then again she can tell if something is off center by 1/8” just by walking by.

Cool, I'm just going to keep my mouth shut from now on. My wife asks me what I think all the time and then comes back with all the many reasons I'm wrong too.

Hey c'mon man I really like the strip lights you have, I am just a little baby about color temps! :D And since they come in all the flavors I am basically guaranteed to get a few sets for auxiliary lighting.

My understanding is that the hard science side of it is sunlight = 3200K through 5800K based on how close to sunrise/sunset you are.

I've been told to use 6500, I've been told to use 4100, and I've been told 5000, so I'm gonna start with 5000 and go from there.:laser:

Thanks bro. I'll keep you posted. Once I get the taco back from Rudd Performance it'll be going on.

Now I need to try and score some Amber SAE Squadrons for it, Some shackles, and maybe a factor55 flatlink or I might just go straight to a shackle for a secure hookup. Just carry a short strap/tree saver with me to go with it.

Well that was interesting but I survived my first interaction with AC power! The fixture is super basic but I think the bulbs I picked are winners. I’m gonna convert the other two housings to the LED holders but I’m gonna get a professional to install them.

Oh and I got an awesome suggestion for the garage mirror... put a TV mount on it!
    89476671-B323-454E-83D9-A09CE36A02CD.jpg

I picked up a cheap mount from Wally World and drilled the mirror backer to fit. Once I get the stupid weather stripping that holds the mirror itself secure on the backer plate I can put it up on the wall.

I'm using these and they work great. The light output for the money is excellent. I only have these 2 mounted right now, but have 2 more in boxes I still need to hang now that it's not 5000 degrees in the garage. They are 2' x 2' square and are available in 2' x 4'. If you wanted to mount the driver to the side or in the ceiling they would practically mount flush.

I miss the days where cable/ internet companies would actually try to keep you as a customer. Now it's call company A say my 2 years are up and my price is getting insane what can we do. Followed by them saying nothing better available for you.

Then we change to company B for promo rates and repeat process. They won't do anything so we change back to company A
