What are you planning on grinding all the welds with? A flapper wheel ought to smooth it right out and make it pretty

bought a new solder pen so thought I’d try my hand at fixing my overhead compass that had some resistors that had gone out. Worked out pretty well so I tried installing a new stereo and dash kit.

When I install my steel rear Mobtown bumper with integrated behind the license plate receiver I’m going to be in the same boat. Can’t wait to see how much drop I’ll need! Will post when it’s done.

Hmm let’s see... the white plastic for chrome delete came from BumperShellz. I was pretty happy with the quality and fitmet. I had to use a hairdryer on the adhesive sections to get full strength stickiness. There’s a video on YouTube showing the install, for them it was a breeze of course, but my truck is a ‘13 and she’s what I call a “special” truck cos she likes to be the exception to every “how-to” video ever lol. Let’s just say it’s a good thing I had extra plastic fasteners for the lower step (by tow hitch)

The black plastic bits were prepped with soapy water, sandpaper and then rubbing alcohol. A few coats of spray on rustoleum bed liner was enough to get the results I wanted.

Gotta say tho, NOT impressed with any rustoleum spray cans. Every can I get does either blotchy sprays, or, randomly sprays blank. Yeah.... so you’re mid spray and the black stuff just stops coming out, but the aerosol keeps spraying - so you think you’re spraying another coat but you’re actually just spraying air. It’s the stupidest thing ever and it’s the last time I’ll use their spray cans.

Other than that, super stoked on how it all turned out!

Anything else you wanted more details on?

    A thing or two...
What are you planning to pump? I had that one and one just like it from Autozone, and they both died trying to fill my rear diff.

That metal sleeve is there to keep you from crushing the bed when you tighten the bolts down. Clean up the rust and slather everything in grease/anti-sieze, and you shouldn't have too much trouble getting them out in the future.
