Even when I had a 6ft box I had my challenges.

Your research is wrong, it's around 140 - 141 for DCLB.

I got the long bed double cab. I figured if I got the 5’ I’d always regret it.

I stand corrected. I was looking at an Edmonds site. I just checked the Toyota site and you are correct. My apologies.

I was always under the impression your original statement was correct. When I looked at the Edmonds site this morning I was surprised when they showed them all with the same wheelbase. Thats why I posted it-because I thought I had just learned something new. Instead made a jackass out myself. Please resume normal programming......

Thanks for the input! While I don't have many people riding in the back seat hardly ever, I will having kids in the next 1-2 years (God willing lol).. so I do like the idea of a more spacious back seat. Ill check out the link though thank you

If you're not rock crawling go with the long bed. Longer wheelbase will make for a smoother on road ride also. I have a long bed and I do easier rock crawling trails with no problems.

I have the double cab long bed. I needed the space and I think they look much better.

Thanks, my buddy has 18 sand color long bed, and he loves it. I'm leaning towards LB for sure, I like the look better also, more proportional in my opinion, and the only off roading I do is on the beach, we dont have trails down on the coast where I live.

Its not, I have about a foot longer wheelbase than DCSB trucks. I offroad this thing all the time on easy to moderate trails. Just have to pick a good line and be more careful around switchbacks.

I've said it before, let's all be thankful Toyota gives us the option to buy a long bed, short bed, DC, AC, auto and manual transmission.

Had 2nd gen access cab with long bed. Now have double cab with short bed.
Wanted to be able to put Costco haul inside but still needed to fit in available garage space.
A DC LB would fit in the garage but the table saw and snow thrower would have to relocate and that's a problem.

If you don’t craw I’d go with a long bed 100%. That extra 13” comes in dam handy very often.
